Cardiff City are winless in the league in their last eight matches and will be hoping that they can start distancing themselves from the Championship relegation places.

The Bluebirds, who opted to part company with Mark Hudson last weekend, currently sit three points above the second tier drop zone.

As for the Lions, they will be viewing tomorrow's clash as an excellent opportunity to once again apply pressure to those who occupy play-off positions at present.

However, Gary Rowett's side have had their struggles away from The Den this season, averaging 0.92 points per game when on their travels.

Issuing his score prediction for tomorrow's game via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that the Lions will strengthen their away record and take advantage of Cardiff's continued difficulties by securing a 2-0 victory.

The verdict

Despite Cardiff being on a difficult run and confidence levels being low, they have lost three matches during their eight-game winless run, with those losses proving to be tight affairs too.

Averaging 1.21 points per game at their South Wales home, they have proven to be a lot stronger on home soil thus far this season, although their last victory at the Cardiff City Stadium came in October.

As for the London club, they currently sit two points outside of the play-off positions and possess a game in hand on most who are above them.

A Millwall victory would be no surprise but it would be no shock if they win by the single goal tomorrow afternoon.
