Cardiff City are dusting themselves down after play-off heartache in 2019/20, with Neil Harris looking to take the next step in the Championship when the new season begins.

Fulham beat Harris’ side in the play-off semi-finals last month, which leaves them facing up to another year back in the Championship.

They start 2020/21 with a clash with meeting at Northampton Town in the League Cup, before entertaining Sheffield Wednesday on September 12th.

So, how are Harris’ summer plans shaping up? Are Cardiff on the verge of bringing in any fresh faces ahead of the restart?

We aim to bring you the latest transfer talk…

Sol Bamba

We will start with an outgoing.

Bamba is reportedly on the radar of former Bluebirds boss, Neil Warnock.

According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough could be the destination for the former Leeds centre-back.

Bamba is 35 now and has been with Cardiff since 2016.

Jordi Osei-Tutu

Cardiff are set to swoop to sign Arsenal man, Osei-Tutu, on a season-long loan.

According to Wales Online, this deal is almost done, with Harris looking to strengthen his option on the right of defence this summer.

The 21-year-old has had his medical with the Bluebirds and looks set to join after a successful loan spell in Germany last season.

The attack-minded youngster scored five goals for VFL Bochum.

Dion Sanderson

The Bluebirds are back in the mix to sign Wolves man, Sanderson.

The 20-year-old defender made 10 appearances on loan with the Bluebirds last season in the Championship, registering two assists.

Alongside Harris’ side, there’s a number of other Championship clubs interested in doing a deal for Sanderson.

Sheffield Wednesday are said to be amongst those rivalling Cardiff for a deal.

Oliver Denham

It’s emerged that Manchester United talent Denham is on trial with Cardiff ahead of a potential permanent move.

Denham looks set to leave Old Trafford and is free to find himself a new club.

Wales Online report how he’s not seen as a signing for the first-team, so if a deal does get done for the youngster, he will be one for the future.

Denham is a centre-back, but he’s versatile with his play and can also feature at right-back.

Further reports suggest that Denham has impressed the youth coaches at Cardiff.
