With four points from four league games so far in the 2019/20 campaign, Cardiff City haven't quite hit the form that saw them claim a play-off place last season.

There is however, plenty of time remaining in the current campaign for things to change in that pursuit for a return to the Premier League, and the last few days of the transfer could be vital in that sense.

The window is of course set to close on Friday, and there could still be plenty of business to be done in terms of both incomings and outgoings before that point.

Here, we take a look at the latest transfers reports emerging from around the Bluebirds.

Aden Flint

Reports emerged over the weekend claiming that defender Aden Flint is attracting plenty of attention from elsewhere in the Championship.

It is thought that both Sheffield Wednesday and QPR are interested in a move for the centre back, who is apparently not in manager Neil Harris' plans for the coming season, having failed to feature in the league this season.

However, subsequent updates have suggested that the Owls are not interested in a move for Flint, although it remains to be seen if QPR - or any other club - will look to take advantage of that.

Joe Bennett

Another Cardiff defender who could be on the move in the final few days of the window is Joe Bennett.

Reports from Sky Sports Transfer Centre (12/10, 12:50) have claimed that Watford are interested in the 30-year-old, who has made three league appearances so far this season.

There are less than 12 months remaining on Bennett's contract with Cardiff, meaning this could be the Bluebirds' last chance to receive a fee for the left-back.

Charlie Austin

While defenders may be being linked with moves away from Cardiff, it seems attackers could be on their way in to the Welsh capital.

A report from The Telegraph has claimed that Cardiff are interested in a season-long loan move for Austin, who has seemingly fallen down the pecking order at The Hawthorns.

Cardiff's Championship rivals Derby have also been linked with Austin, although it has now been claimed that the striker has turned down a move to the Rams, possibly leaving the door open for Harris' side to make their move.

Cauley Woodrow

As well as Austin, Barnsley's Cauley Woodrow is another attacker being linked with a move to Cardiff before the window closes.

Wales Online claim that Cardiff are keen on a move for Woodrow, who scored 15 goals in 42 Championship appearances to help keep the Tykes in the second-tier last season.

It is thought that Woodrow would cost Cardiff somewhere in the region of £2million, although with two years remaining on his contract at Oakwell, Barnsley are in a decent position to negotiate any offers that come in for the 25-year-old.
