Tom Barclay, the Football League reporter at The Sun has revealed that he has been informed that Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore could possibly move to Premier League side Everton.

The Danish striker only joined the Bluebirds last year but after a return of 12 goals in 29 league games in his debut season in Wales, there has been plenty of interest in his services.

Zohore has featured in all five of Cardiff’s opening five league games this season scoring once and providing two assists as Neil Warnock’s side sit top of the Championship table winning all five of their games in the process.

The 23-year-old will become Everton’s ninth signing of an already busy summer which has seen Ronald Koeman bring in some big names to Goodison Park.

The Verdict

Here at FLW, we don’t think Cardiff should let Zohore go.

There isn’t enough time to find a decent replacement for the Dane and having already contributed three goals in five games this season, Zohore could play a huge role in keeping Cardiff top of the table.

Despite Barclay’s tweet, this deal seems unlikely following Neil Warnock’s statement regarding whether the 23-year-old could be leaving.

Warnock said:

“Not unless I have a heart attack and another manager takes over”.

The Bluebirds shouldn’t mess with a winning formula. They’re top of the table and undefeated in the league so why sell a player who’s goals could fire you into the Premier League?
