Cardiff’s disappointing start to the season saw Paul Trollope lose his job and experienced Championship manager Neil Warnock was to be his replacement.
Since Warnock’s arrival, The Bluebirds had picked up a bit, and pulled themselves away from the relegation zone, but a defeat away at Newcastle, tied in with a home defeat against relegation rivals Wigan, has seen them get dragged back into the relegation dogfight.
There is no doubt that Warnock isn’t happy with the squad he has inherited.
This was evident when he signed four free agents within a week of getting the job so, come January, he will be looking to put his own stamp on the team.
One place Cardiff should look for players is the Premier League as there are plenty of fringe players about who would jump at the chance to leave and get regular first team football, so this is an avenue they should look to exploit.
Here, I will look at 3 Premier League fringe players who Cardiff should look to sign.
