Cardiff City are on the up and the outlook is much more positive following the appointment of Neil Warnock as successor to Paul Trollope.

The Bluebirds were struggling in second bottom spot in the Championship when Paul Trollope was sacked.

Just eight points in the opening eleven games left Cardiff desperate for intervention.

Neil Warnock came in and made an immediate impact, winning a derby match against Bristol City and now Cardiff are out of the relegation zone.

Warnock has already made it clear that he thinks this Cardiff squad is not good enough.

This was evidenced by him signing four free agents within a week of getting the job: Marouane Chamakh, Junior Hoilett, Sol Bamba and Kieran Richardson.

There is absolutely no doubt that Neil Warnock will be eyeing up the January transfer window as a chance to conduct a squad overhaul.

One avenue he could explore is the loan market and here are TWO Arsenal players who might fit the bill for Cardiff City...

Emiliano Martinez

Perhaps it is time for Emiliano Martinez and Arsenal to part ways.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper is third choice behind Petr Cech and David Ospina and could leave to get more regular game time.

The former Argentina youth international has football league experience from spells with Oxford, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Wolves so he could add competition for Ben Amos between the sticks.

Gedion Zelalem

Gedion Zelalem became the first player to be born after Arsene Wenger took over at Arsenal and play for the club when he made an FA Cup appearance against Coventry in 2014.

The USA under-23 international is a technically talented central midfielder who would be a good loan addition.

The 19-year-old was at Rangers last season and a loan spell in the Championship would benefit his game undoubtedly.
