Cardiff City are set to sign Hull City’s goalkeeper Allan McGregor on loan until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports News.
Neil Warnock has made it no secret that he is keen to bolster his goalkeeping options as his predecessor Paul Trollope sanctioned the sale of talented ‘keeper duo David Marshall and Simon Moore to Hull and Sheffield United respectively.
Wales Online were reporting yesterday that the Bluebirds had taken experienced Italian goalkeeper Gianluca Curci on trial and that Warnock was expecting to announce the loan signing of a Premier League goalkeeper by Thursday.
That goalkeeper appears to be Allan McGregor.
The Scotland international is surplus to requirements at Hull at the moment with Eldin Jakupovic, David Marshall and Dusan Kuciak all able to play between the sticks for the Premier League strugglers.
New Hull boss Marco Silva is prepared to let the 34-year-old join Cardiff on loan to improve on Ben Amos and Brian Murphy as Warnock’s goalkeeper choices.
