Harry Wilson is currently undergoing a medical at Cardiff City ahead of a loan move from Liverpool, according to reports from Football Insider.

Another temporary move away from Anfield looks to be in the offing for Wilson, who has spent the last three seasons away from the club out on loan.

The 23-year-old scored 15 goals in 40 Championship appearances for Derby County in 2017/18, helping the Rams reach the play-off final under the stewardship of Frank Lampard.

Quiz: Do Cardiff City and Swansea City have these 10 things in common?

Wilson spent last season on loan with AFC Bournemouth, scoring seven goals in the Premier League as the Cherries were relegated to the Championship.

After failing to break into Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans, Wilson looks set for yet another move away from Anfield, with Cardiff City agreeing to sign the winger on loan.

After agreeing loan terms yesterday, Football Insider now claim that Wilson is undergoing a medical ahead of a loan move to Cardiff, ahead of this afternoon's 5pm deadline.

Swansea City and Bristol City were hopeful of landing Wilson despite the Bluebirds agreeing terms with Liverpool yesterday, but a move to the Cardiff City Stadium now looks inevitable.

The Verdict

This is a really exciting signing for Cardiff.

Wilson has proven to be a quality player in the Championship before with Derby County, and he also made the step-up to the Premier League with ease last season.

He was one of Bournemouth's better players in a side which obviously struggled, and he scored a decent amount of goals under Eddie Howe.

I'm surprised to see drop back into the Championship, but Cardiff will be delighted to have him for the season.
