According to TEAMtalk, Celtic are considering an offer from Cardiff City for Jonny Hayes.
Hayes only moved to Celtic earlier this summer, with the Hoops beat Cardiff in the race to sign the winger from Aberdeen.
However, since his move to Celtic, Hayes has made just eight appearances across all competitions and Cardiff have moved to bring the winger on-loan to the Sky Bet Championship.
Neil Warnock is a known admirer of Hayes, who was extremely impressive for Aberdeen before his move to Celtic earlier this summer.
The 30-year-old has had previous spells in English football, but during eight-years in Scotland, Hayes improved massively during time with Inverness and Aberdeen.
Hayes made a combined total of 250 league appearances during that time, scoring 46 goals and establishing himself as one of the best wingers in the country.
It was that form that made Hayes a target for so many earlier this summer, a race that Celtic eventually won, brining the Irishman to Celtic Park for a reported £1m.
However, after just three starts since his move to Celtic, combined with the arrival of Patrick Roberts from Manchester City, the Scottish giants are considering Cardiff’s loan offer for Hayes.
Warnock’s side have won all five of their opening Championship fixtures and are currently top of the league.
Whilst Cardiff’s attempt to sign Hayes is cheeky, it could prove to be an excellent piece of business for all parties involved.
Hayes’ opportunities are looking limited at Celtic, and whilst there is a chance he will be given a chance of a long season under Brendan Rodgers, there are others clearly ahead of him.
Cardiff have made a strong start to the Championship season, but the addition of one or two players between now and the end of the summer, could be the difference in them maintaining their push for promotion.
