Cardiff City are interested in Hearts defender Callum Paterson, according to the Scottish Sun.
Derby County were linked with a January move for Paterson earlier this season, but the move never happened and the Scotsman remained with his current club Hearts.
The report states that Paterson could join the Bluebirds on a pre-contract deal, ahead of his contract expiry in the summer.
Callum Paterson has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Hearts this season, and has not only impressed at the back, but has also bagged 9 goals too.
However, the 22-year-old suffered a ligament injury a few months ago and his last match was a 4-0 victory for Hearts over Kilmarnock, so he’s not currently fit and he may miss the start of next season depending on the severity of his injury.
Cardiff City haven’t had the greatest season, but have comfortably avoided a relegation battle since Neil Warnock’s arrival in the dugout.
Warnock took over from Paul Trollope with the team threatened by the drop, but has led the Bluebirds away from the bottom three to safety.
