Cardiff City lining up yet another bid for 29-year-old midfielder

Cardiff City are reluctant to give up on Aberdeen winger Johnny Hayes as they consider a third bid for the Irish international, according to WalesOnline.

Bluebirds manager, Neil Warnock is looking to bolster his squad to ensure that the Welsh side comfortably avoids a relegation scrap.

Warnock is looking to add firepower on the flanks and they have already had two undisclosed bids rejected from Aberdeen for Hayes.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has told Cardiff to “be serious” with regard to the fee if they wish to pursue their interest in Hayes.

The Bluebirds have brought in three players during the January Transfer Window – Greg Halford, Ibrahim Meite and Allan McGregor- and have just under two weeks to compromise a deal for Hayes.

Cardiff City entertain Burton Albion at the Cardiff City stadium this weekend, with Allan McGregor expected to make his debut.
