According to BBC Sport, Cardiff City’s goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble has confirmed that the club are interested in extending Allan McGregor’s stay beyond the end of the season.
Allan McGregor is currently on loan from Hull City after joining Cardiff in the January transfer window and he has been particularly impressive during the club’s charge up the table.
This news comes shortly after Neil Warnock said that Cardiff’s financial restraints mean that a permanent deal for McGregor is not possible as the Bluebirds could snap up four goalkeepers for the same price.
Goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble heaped praise on the Scotland international, saying:
“He’s been absolutely fantastic the way he approaches training and games.”
Talking about the possibility of a deal, Dibble said:
“Yes, we would love to have him long term.
“That’s up to the powers that be with the financial side.
“But he would be one on our radar definitely.
“He’s a model professional.”
