Trabzonspor are interested in Cardiff City man Bruno Ecuele Manga, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.

The central defender has made 139 appearances for the Bluebirds since signing in 2014, and he has been a key member of the defence since Neil Warnock took charge.

He was immense in Cardiff's promotion winning season and did well for the large part last season, although he couldn't prevent their relegation from the Premier League.

Fanatik report that Bruno Ecuele Manga is at the top of their shortlist of transfer targets, but any talk of a fee or contact between the clubs is yet to be reported on.

Cardiff signed the Gabon international for £4 million in 2014, so it is likely that Trabzonspor will need to pay above this price to secure his services, given he has become an important player in recent years.

The Turkish outfit finished fourth in the Super Lig last season, which means they will enter the qualifying stage for the Europa League in the new campaign.

Warnock and Cardiff will be keen to keep him though, and the prospect of getting back into the Premier League could give him the ambition to stay.

The Verdict

Bruno Ecuele Manga struggled to become a first team regular in Cardiff at first, but he has really excelled of late, particularly under the guidance of Neil Warnock.

He featured in every league game last season, making 40 appearances in total in all competitions, and prior to that his performances in the Championship were integral to promotion.

Cardiff should do their best to keep him, although they may struggle if Trabzonspor are able to offer a good fee and a good wage to the player.
