Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has not held back with his comments towards Aston Villa starlet Jack Grealish, after being angered by the youngster’s behaviour during the Bluebird’s 3-1 defeat this weekend.
The English midfielder was in the trenches for Villa’s victory and had a crucial outcome in the game, having seen Lee Peltier sent off for a foul and earning a penalty to secure the game in the last minute.
Grealish was vocal with his views during the match and was accused by Warnock as trying to get his players booked, with The Express & Star stating the Bluebirds boss confronted the youngster in the tunnel after the match.
“I think Grealish does well for the penalty. I’m a bit disappointed with Grealish, trying to get players booked. He doesn’t need to do that, he’s a good player. He was saying ‘three, four times, how many more?’ and all that and screaming.”
“I was disappointed in Grealish shouting at the referee… I suppose that is young professionals at the present.”
With Villa marching to just three points off the top-six and looking solid in their aim to achieve an immediate promotion back to the Premier League, Grealish isn’t likely to be too irked by Warnock’s views.
The Midland side comfortably defeated the Welsh side on the weekend, courtesy of goals from Albert Adomah, Rudy Gestede and Jonathan Kodjia.
