Cardiff City are on the brink of promotion back to the Premier League this weekend.

The South Wales side has been excellent under Neil Warnock as they've completely upset the odds in keeping this run going and you now wouldn't bet against them securing second place.

All they need to do, then, is better Fulham's result this weekend and with their players showing they're more than ready to handle the pressure, that is something they'll be confident of doing against Reading.

Plenty of their stars deserve credit, then, but does this man perhaps deserve similar praise to the likes of Sol Bamba and Sean Morrison?

The likes of Bamba and Morrison have been superb whilst Bruno Manga has also been a rock when he has played at the heart of defence.

They, however, are not the only reasons why Cardiff have been so strong at keeping opposing attacks out.

Left-back Joe Bennett more than deserves credit for the work he has done. Solid at the back, committed in the challenge and always reliable, he sums what has been so good about the Bluebirds this season.

Of course, he has been overlooked for many team of the year awards this season but, if he hadn't been in the Bluebirds' side, they just might not be where they are now.
