The Daily Mail is reporting that Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest are both mulling over whether to make a move for Birmingham City midfielder David Davis.
David Davis is out of contract at the end of the season so Cardiff and Nottingham Forest could snap him up in a cut-price deal.
However, new Birmingham City boss Gianfranco Zola is said to be very keen on keeping Davis at the club beyond this summer and has told the powers that be to offer him a new deal this month.
The 25-year-old central midfielder is a key member of Birmingham’s squad, having played 100 times for the West Midlands outfit since his switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2014.
Neil Warnock is reportedly weighing up a move if his contract situation isn’t resolved as he aims to boost his Cardiff squad in January.
Nottingham Forest see Davis as a potential replacement for Henri Lansbury if the 26-year-old leaves this January.
