Cardiff are unable to do much about the potential departures of two of their key players, Fraizer Campbell and Steven Caulker. The pair look to be going back to the Premier League, with Caulker expected to join Queens Park Rangers and Campbell to join Leicester City.
Solskjaer accepts that their departures are due to Cardiff’s relegation to the Championship and he is preparing his his side to bounce back into the Premier League without the English pair.
Solskjaer says that “I am resigned to losing both players, we are more or less planning for the new season without them.”
“The boys have expressed a wish to play Premier League football again next season and we are resigned to losing them”
“I am not going to take an injury risk by playing them in pre-season fixtures”
Fraizer Campbell joined Cardiff in the January of their promotion to the Premier League from Sunderland, while Caulker joined Cardiff last summer from Tottenham Hotspur.
