Cardiff City and Norwich City are both keeping tabs on the situation of Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin, according to FLW sources.

Coquelin has returned to Arsenal
Coquelin is a target for Cardiff and Norwich

The French defensive midfielder has found playing time hard to come by at Arsenal, and looks set for a move away this summer.

The 23-year-old spent last season on-loan at Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg, where he amassed 16 appearances for the German club.

Since being at Arsenal from 2008, Coquelin has only managed to accumulate 21 appearances for the Gunners.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Cardiff look set to see defensive midfielder Gary Medel leave the club, meaning a defensive midfielder is required to replace him.

Norwich are also in the hunt for Coquelin and are eyeing a move for him to help bolster their squad and add depth to the side, before the start of the new season.
