Cardiff City ace Lee Tomlin hasn't had the easiest of time while at Cardiff City, having been out on loan for last season and the second half of 2017/2018.

Signed from Bristol City in 2017, the 30-year-old has had two loan spells away with Nottingham Forest so far before being reinstated into the first team plans of Neil Warnock this season.

He made seven league appearances before Warnock chose to resign earlier this month, and with Neil Harris being appointed as the new manager during the previous international break, Tomlin's career at The Cardiff City Stadium looks like it could be back on.

He has featured in the first two games under Harris in a 4-2-3-1 formation having been made the No.10, and it looks as if he could be central to the new Cardiff manager's plans.

Tomlin has been the driving force behind Cardiff in the last couple of games, his linkup play with lone striker Gary Madine and his dribbling getting the Bluebirds further up the pitch when they need to be.

The former Bristol City man netted the equaliser in their 2-2 comeback draw away at Charlton Athletic at the weekend, as well as his impressive performance at home to Stoke City on the following Tuesday night.

Harris has recognised that Tomlin has some excellent technical abilities that he needs to get the best out of, and the football that Harris has told his squad to play is already getting the best out of the attacking midfielder.

Under Warnock sometimes, Tomlin looked like he could lack that self belief and didn't believe that he had what it took to continue performing at the level that he is now.

Under Harris however, Tomlin is already backing himself to beat the men in front of him and to create chances for the players around him as his current form could be the start of a good career under Harris at Cardiff.

Tomlin will be delighted with himself after stepping up to the plate as one of the senior members within the Cardiff squad, and he has been one of the reasons why Harris is currently unbeaten as Bluebirds boss.
