Charlton Athletic continued their recent turnaround by holding in-form Rotherham United to a 1-1 draw at the Valley last night and many Addicks fans have been raving about the performance of Alex Gilbey.

The Millers had won seven of their last eight games and scored 13 goals in their last three matches heading into Tuesday night's League One clash, meaning it looked a tough one for the home side.

But Charlton have looked reborn since Nigel Adkins was replaced by caretaker boss Johnnie Jackson and impressed again last night against Rotherham.

Paul Warne's side took the lead through Mickel Miller in first-half injury time but Conor Washington grabbed an equaliser seven minutes before the end to ensure the points were shared.

Gilbey started in midfield once again for the Addicks and produced a strong display, with his hard work out of possession catching the eye, before sending a message to fans after the game.

The 26-year-old seems to have impressed the Valley faithful, with many supporters taking to Twitter to heap praise on him for his performance against Rotherham and in recent matches.
