Ipswich Town are interested in signing Caoimhin Kelleher this summer transfer window on loan from Liverpool as Paul Cook looks to reshape his side.

The Tractor Boys have seen a fair few exits already this summer and it is clear Cook is looking to really revamp his ranks at Portman Road, with there natural interest over who he is going to bring in.

As per TWTD, then, Kelleher is a loan target of the club's for next season and, that said, we're breaking down a few aspects of the potential move...

Is it a good potential move?

On paper, it's very good potentially.

Kelleher has won the faith of Jurgen Klopp to be considered Alisson's main understudy, ahead of an experienced Premier League goalkeeper in Adrian.

At times last season when Alisson was injured, Kelleher got his chance and played Champions League football, too - he's clearly a very talented young goalkeeper.

Would he start?

You would imagine so for a couple of reasons.

The report suggests that Paul Cook wants to move on Tomas Holy and Dai Cornell and so, clearly, a starting spot could be more than available for the young Irishman.

Added to that, Liverpool are not going to sanction a loan deal for a player as talented as the young goalkeeper if they do not have assurances over him starting.

If he goes to Portman Road, he should get the number 1 spot and then it's all about him performing.

What does he offer?

A real air of serenity and that's impressive for a 22-year-old goalkeeper.

You could not have told that it was his first Liverpool appearances when he came in to face the likes of Ajax and Wolves when called upon, with him racking up clean sheets, claiming the ball well in the air and looking a composed presence - hence the reason he's jumped Adrian at Liverpool.

Ipswich will be getting a very cool-headed young goalkeeper that is good at claiming crosses and making saves from short distances - it could be a really good signing.
