Swansea City have completed the signing of Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster on loan until the end of the Championship season, the club confirmed yesterday.

There were plenty of Championship clubs keen on landing the highly-rated frontman including the likes of Leeds United and Bristol City, but Swansea have now secured the signature of the 19-year-old ahead of their clash with Cardiff this weekend.

The Welsh side were in the market for a new striker following Bournemouth's decision to recall Sam Surridge from his loan spell at the Liberty Stadium, and they have now managed to land another bright English prospect in Brewster.

Swansea boss Steve Cooper has previously worked with Brewster during his time within the England youth set-up, and it is understood the 40-year-old's presence at the Liberty Stadium played a key factor in Swansea sealing the move.
