Portsmouth continued their excellent away form on Saturday by coming through an FA Cup first-round classic against Ipswich Town in extra-time.

Kenny Jackett's men, who reached the fifth-round last season before they were beaten by eventful winners Arsenal at Fratton Park, raced into a two-goal lead at Portman Road courtesy of goals from Ronan Curtis and Tom Naylor.

However, Ipswich responded through Jon Nolan and James Norwood - and with the scores level after 90 minutes, the game headed to extra-time.

But it would be Pompey that progressed through to round two after Sean Raggett converted from close-range following a goal-mouth scramble.

The draw for the second-round took place on Monday evening, and Portsmouth were handed an enticing home draw against National League North side King's Lynn Town - with ties to be played on the weekend of the 28 November.
