‘Can’t wait for Mourinho’s excuses already’ – Bristol City players and fans react to Man Utd draw

Even though the farcical Carabao Cup draw took a lot longer to complete than many had anticipated, it was worth the wait for Bristol City who landed a dream home tie against Manchester United. The Robins are the sole team from the EFL in the draw, but have knocked out three Premier League sides along the way.

It promises to be a memorable occasion at Ashton Gate and will obviously be a very tough encounter. Jose Mourinho, who won this trophy last year with United, is known for taking this competition seriously and as this is a quarter-final game you can expect to see many of the stars line up for the visitors.
Unsurprisingly, everyone connected with the club was delighted at hearing the news of the draw and many fans, and players, took to twitter to reveal their excitement ahead of the tie.
