Leeds United have announced on Twitter that Rugby League side Leeds Rhinos will parade their Super League trophy around at Elland Road on Saturday when the Whites take on Reading.
The Rhinos secured the trophy having beat local rivals Castleford Tigers in the Grand final, and will share their victory with their city neighbours this weekend.
In a move that appears to be very Thomas Christiansen Esque – something along the lines of the Rhinos victory will inspire Leeds to the Championship title – the two sides will come together to honour the achievement, and Leeds will hope to mark the occasion with three points.
Christiansen’s side are in the midst of their worst run of form all season, having lost each of their last two encounters.
Tough losses on the road to Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday will be hard to swallow, but the alarm bells should not be ringing just yet for the Yorkshire outfit.
Fans took to Twitter to have their say on Saturday’s trophy parade, and it is safe to say there has been a mixed reaction from the football mad Leeds fans…

Why we are football fans not rugby. Parade your trophy around your own ground and try and make up your own songs please.
