It is safe to say that both Leeds United and Aston Villa are probably going to be sanctioned over their respective roles in yesterday’s brawl between the two sets of players following Mateusz Klich’s controversial goal.

Leeds opted to not kick the ball out despite Jonathan Kodjia going to ground, with Klich driving forward and converting. Conor Hourihane was quick to spark a melee, which resulted in the Irishman receiving a yellow card. Marcelo Bielsa defused the situation by allowing Villa to score unopposed, but it was a huge talking point.

In addition to that Anwar El Ghazi was sent-off for ‘striking’ Patrick Bamford. Although replays suggest that the Leeds striker wasn’t struck and conned the officials.

Now, the Yorkshire Evening Post have released a report, stating that Leeds are waiting on the verdict from the FA over any potential punishment Bamford will face for diving.

Hourihane also appeared to punch Klich behind the official’s back, which the report confirms could bring punishment.

And, this has sparked more debate amongst Leeds’ fans, with many feeling both Bamford and Hourihane are deserving of bans…
