Bolton's players did not report to training today in protest at the club failing to pay the squad and the employees their March wages.

That isn't the first time the board have failed to pay everyone at the club on time, so journalist Marc Iles revealed that the group decided to take a stand and didn't turn up today.

"Hearing that Bolton Wanderers' players have refused to report for training until staff are paid or the court case makes things clearer. Unhappy (obviously) with another delay on wages but also a lack of info from Ken A/Paul A."

As well as that, he claims they are unhappy at a lack of communication from the top despite the situation and the proposed takeover.

It had been said last week that a takeover of the Trotters was imminent but that hasn't proven to be the case with the club due in the High Court again on Wednesday over an unpaid tax bill.

Given the terrible predicament of the club it's fair to say the fans support the action taken by the squad.
