Preston go in search of their first home point of the Championship season when they host Millwall at Deepdale this evening.
Alex Neil’s men have been outstanding on the road this term, already winning at Brentford, QPR and then at Huddersfield on Saturday thanks to a second-half brace from captain Alan Browne.
However, they’ve suffered defeats in all three of their home matches all by the same scoreline 1-0, which was the outcome when the Lions visited Lancashire last February after Shaun Hutchinson’s second-half winner.
Preston begin the night in the bottom-half of the standings, but are just three points adrift of the top-six and can leapfrog the eighth-place Millwall in the standings with a victory.
And after those two consecutive away wins, Neil has decided to name an unchanged side for the third game in succession – opting against bringing back Tom Barkhuizen into the starting XI.
It means that striker Emil Ris Jakobsen makes his Deepdale debut, much to the delight of the Preston faithful, who expressed their excitement to the line-up on Twitter.
Take a look at the best of the reactions below….
