Huddersfield have been preparing well ahead of the new season and Rajiv Van La Parra took to Instagram to show off a glimpse of him in action.

He posted a clip of his opening goal against Doncaster Rovers in a friendly on Wednesday, with the Terriers running out 2-0 winners at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Huddersfield boss Jan Siewart has granted most of his squad an opportunity to impress and Van La Parra could be back in the first-team contention if he continues to perform as he had done.

His goal was of very high quality, picking up the ball outside the area before picking his spot and curling the ball into the far corner.

The dutchman will need to rediscover the form which saw him become a mainstay in the Town midfield as there is now greater competition for the left-wing role, with Adama Diakhaby, Isaac Mbenza and Josk Koroma all able to play there.

Some Town fans are excited to see him back in action following his departure on loan to Middlesbrough last season, and the fact he made just five appearances for Town last season.

Here is some of the reaction to the 28-year-old's post.
