Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland reportedly stayed for 20 minutes after an interview had finished to discuss Yorkshire, which has left many Leeds United fans hopeful of a future move.

The emergence of 19-year-old forward has been one of the talking points of the season so far – having impressed at both RB Salzburg and Dortmund.

The teenager grabbed 28 goals and seven assists in 22 games for Salzburg in the first half of the season and has not slowed down since joining the German club in January – finding the net 13 times in his 12 appearances so far.

Have these 15 current Leeds United players been capped at international level? – Yes or no? Have a go now!

The Bundesliga returned on the weekend and with the eyes of the world on him, Haaland scored again – producing a fantastic finish for his side's opener against Schalke.

Haaland has caught some flak for an unusual interview he gave after the game but the New York Times' Rory Smith has been quick to jump to his defence, claiming he is very talkative if you get him on the right subject – Yorkshire.

The 19-year-old was born in Leeds just after his father had left the Yorkshire club to join Manchester City and it appears he still thinks fondly of the region.

Smith's claim has caught the attention of many Whites supporters, who appear optimistic it could lead to him following in his father's footsteps and joining the club.
