Bristol City earned an impressive win at Middlesbrough earlier this week to get things back in a positive mood after a tough few weeks at the Robins.
A streak of losses eventually cost Dean Holden his job but Nigel Pearson is now at the helm and Robins fans will be looking forward to seeing what he can do.
They’ll be hoping he can get performances out of the talented squad at Ashton Gate and Henri Lansbury is certainly one player with the quality to help them up the league.
Indeed, FLW’s Bristol City fan pundit Kory Cook reckons Pearson will help get the best out of the midfielder:
“Henri Lansbury hasn’t set the world alight since coming in, but I am a huge fan of his and I think he is still getting used to playing regular first-team football again after almost a year of under 23’s action at Aston Villa.
“Pearson will be keen to get him playing and I can see him being a big part of the success we all hope Nigel will have here.”
Pearson has a good reputation for motivating players and getting them performing.
He did a good job at Leicester City whilst his work at Watford also deserved praise and he could well have kept them up but was let go surprisingly before having the chance to see where it went.
Bristol City have talented players that have underperformed of late and if he can get the likes of Lansbury firing the Robins will climb the table once more.
