Derby County have taken Ravel Morrison on trial as they consider offering the out-of-contract midfielder a deal at Pride Park ahead of the new season.
The 28-year-old has been a free agent since January after leaving Dutch side ADO Den Haag and despite reports linking him with moves away in the past few months, Morrison remains without a club.
That could change soon though, with The Sun revealing that the former Manchester United youngster is training with the Rams. The update states that if he impresses a deal could be finalised, with boss Wayne Rooney knowing the player from his days at Old Trafford.
Whilst Morrison is still regarded as a talented footballer, his past history of failing to make an impact or stay at clubs for a lengthy period has left some Derby fans concerned about this potential deal.

Not for me. If he hasn’t sorted things out by 28, I am not sure he is gonna do it at all. Has talent yeah, but something important is clearly missing.

Interesting, I’d give him a chance especially with our situation get a pre season under his belt and give him a run in the side, it’s what he’s asked for
