Football League World's Colchester United fan pundit Elliot Wreford has provided his thoughts on the impact that U's striker Luke Norris has made this season for the Essex based League Two club, with the 26-year-old having scored four goals already this term.

Norris has been a focal point of everything Colchester have achieved so far this campaign, with the Colchester Community Stadium based outfit having picked up five wins, four draws and three losses in the league this term, as well as knocking out Premier League opposition twice this season in the Carabao Cup, against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

We asked Wreford on what he has made of Norris's performances so far this season, to which he replied:

"I think that Luke is great player to have at the club, with some support provided to him upfront, he has the potential to really thrive, however when we played him on his own up top at the start of the season, he was just so isolated.

"I do think he will carry on scoring now we have started to play two up top as he always seems to get into great positions and can create something out of nothing.

"In terms of his goal-scoring so far this season, Norris has scored four, however, two of these have been penalties. Whereas his other two goals have been from open play, with one coming against Port Vale, in which he bravely poked the ball home, whilst the other was against Grimsby, where he scored with a good headed finish."

When asked about potential interest in Norris from higher league clubs, Wreford confidently responded by saying:

"I feel like other teams could go after him but I’m fairly confident we can keep him if we can carry on pushing up the league."

From our fan pundit's comments, you can tell how highly regarded the striker is at the Essex based club, and as such they will surely be exploring the option of extending his contract to avoid losing him to clubs higher up the Football League pyramid, as he forms an important component of the clubs push for the playoffs this season.
