Cambridge United sign Tom Naylor on a month’s loan from Derby County

League Two side Cambridge United have signed Derby County defender Tom Naylor on a month’s loan, states Derby’s official website.

The 23 year old versatile defender has spent time on loan at League One’s Bradford City, Conference side Grimsby Town and most recently, Newport County last season.

Naylor has made 10 appearances for the Rams since signing from Mansfield Town in 2011. He signed for Derby on loan but made his switch permanent in January 2012 but has failed to make an impression under Steve McClaren.

He is in line to make his debut for Cambridge at home this Saturday against Luton Town.
