Automatic promotion will be the aim for West Brom heading into this season, and with the newly relegated sides not expected to be as strong as they were last term, it seems likely that there will be an opportunity for a team who did not finish in the top six last season to compete for a top two finish this time around.

The Verdict

Despite looking like he should have had more, 17 goal contributions is a decent return in the Championship for a player not suited to a number nine position and it does provide a platform for Robinson to build on this upcoming season.

If Daryl Dike's fitness issues persist, there is a chance that Robinson will be challenged with leading the line alongside the likes of Wallace, Swift and Karlan Grant, a position that many second tier frontmen would love to be in.

Robinson's experience of being part of the group that finished second under Slaven Bilic in 2019/20 could also be important in handling the pressure from the expectant home crowd.
