West Brom attacker Callum Robinson has singled out the performances of Hal Robson-Kanu and Jake Livermore during the Baggies' 3-0 victory over Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.

Slaven Bilic's side entered the match in the knowledge they could extend their points advantage over third-placed Fulham following their draw on Friday night, and the Baggies made no mistake courtesy of Robinson's opener and Robson-Kanu's brace.

The result means Albion are now nine points clear of the chasing pack in the race for automatic promotion from the Championship, with the Midlands outfit having extended their unbeaten run to five matches following their impressive win.

Robinson put West Brom in front with his second goal for the club following his strike against Nottingham Forest last week, with the winger having settled well at the Hawthorns following his loan move from Sheffield United in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter after the match to praise his side's precious three points, while he also highlighted Robson-Kanu's display which saw him find the net twice, while the Blades loanee also credited Livermore for his display in midfield.

West Brom will now be looking to further extend their advantage in the promotion race when they host Preston and Wigan in back-to-back matches next week, with Albion now edging closer to sealing their coveted top-flight return,

The Verdict

West Brom have now really got back into their stride following a difficult period from December into the new year, but the fact they were able to brush aside a promotion-chasing side like City serves as evidence of the Baggies' brilliance.

Robinson's opening goal also provides further proof that he was an inspired addition in the January window, while Bilic will have been delighted to see Robson-Kanu net a fine brace after the striker went six appearances without finding the net.

Livermore also showed just how important he is to this Albion side during the precious win at Ashton Gate, with the combative midfielder bossing the centre of the park during West Brom's win.
