Callum Robinson issues three-word verdict on West Brom ace Jake Livermore

Published

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to put an end what has been a hugely impressive campaign under Slaven Bilic sooner rather than later.

The Baggies currently sit second in the Sky Bet Championship table ahead of the final nine league games of the season, whenever they may be played.

It has been a remarkable campaign for Albion, who under Slaven Bilic, have pushed Leeds United all the way in the race for automatic promotion, and sit only one point behind Marcelo Bielsa’s men.

One player who has been at the heart of all their positive results has been Jake Livermore, with the Baggies’ captain having led by example all season long.

The 30-year-old has made 36 appearances for Bilic’s side this season, producing a string of impressive performances in the middle of the park alongside Romaine Sawyers.

The club’s Instagram have recently paid tribute to Livermore’s season, with the club’s photographer picking his eight favourite pictures of the club’s number eight this season.

The photos capture Livermore’s fire and grit in the middle of the park, and Albion loan star Callum Robinson has hailed his teammate in the comments section.

The Verdict

Livermore failed to show what he was all about in some ways last season, but he’s really stepped up to the plate under Bilic this season.

Whilst the likes of Matheus Pereira, Filip Krovinovic and Robinson get most of the plaudits for their creative work and goals, Livermore is one of their most underrated players.

He keeps everything ticking over in midfield and produces so many tackles and defensive challenges throughout each game.
