It's been a mixed season for Sunderland this season as they attempt to secure promotion back to the Championship.

Phil Parkinson's side currently sit just outside the play-off spots in seventh place and will be hoping, if football resumes, that they can cement themselves a play-off spot at the very least.

One player who has perhaps failed to deliver since arriving at the Stadium of Light for a hefty fee is striker Will Grigg.

The Northern Ireland international was signed by Sunderland for a multi-million pound fee on transfer deadline day in January last year, though he has struggled to emulate the superb form he's showcased in an Irish shirt, or in a Wigan Athletic shirt, where he was so prolific beforehand.

Grigg has made 12 appearances in League One this season for Sunderland, scoring once and assisting once in what has been a poor campaign for the player.

You do wonder if the player will still be at the Black Cats this time next year, considering his lack of impact at the Stadium of Light.
