The jury remains out on the future of Gianfranco Zola at Birmingham City and the pressure on the Italian at St Andrew's continues to build.

He’s won just two of his last 18 games in charge of the Blues, who were chasing the play-offs when he arrived a few months ago.

But come March, it’s a very different story and Birmingham are very much being dragged into a relegation fight and they could be sucked in further with some seriously tricky fixtures on the horizon.

It’s imperative the club begin picking up points sooner rather than later but it’s clear that there are individuals in this side that won’t be part of Gianfranco Zola’s long-term plans.

Whilst things really haven’t worked for the former Watford manager, he looks set to remain in the St Andrews hotseat and people need to get on with it.

So with that in mind, here’s the 2 Birmingham City players most likely to quit the club this summer…

Nikolai Brock Madsen

Nikolai Brock Madsen was arguably one of Gary Rowett’s poorer moves as Birmingham City manager, and the young Danish forward struggled to make an impact in his first season in England.

He’s currently on-loan with Eredivisie outfit Zwolle, where he’s doing okay but going forward, he’s not going to be the sort of player to lead Gianfranco Zola’s Brum revival.

The former Randers man should certainly be looking for a new club this summer.

David Cotterill

David Cotterill was shipped out to Bristol City on-loan late on in the January transfer window and it’s ironic the Welsh international could have a massive part to play in Birmingham’s race to stay in the division.

He very much divides the Birmingham City support but for Zola, it’s clear he’s not going to be the man to take the team forward.

He’s certainly another name that might be looking for a new club this summer and without a shadow of a doubt, there will be interest in his signature.
