Coventry City winger Jodi Jones has ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament and will now miss the rest of the season.

The exciting youngster has been on fire for Coventry this season, netting five goals and claiming a handful of assists to help his side into the play-off zone.

This has not gone unnoticed with Championship clubs alerted to his good form.

But in the midweek draw at Stevenage, in front of Leeds United scouts, the 20-year-old was involved in a clash which led to him being stretchered off.

Coventry have now confirmed that this is an ACL injury and that Jones will need surgery.

The implication of this is that the former Dagenham and Redbridge forward will miss the rest of the season.

Coventry City fans were understandably devastated by this news, having already lost attacking midfielder Tony Andreu to a season-ending injury.

Here are how the Sky Blues supporters reacted to this announcement on Twitter.
