Norwich City have had a mixed campaign, with Daniel Farke having to contend with losing some key players whilst also trying to build a squad that could compete at the top of the Championship.

It didn't really happen for the Canaries in that sense as they rarely threatened to make a late surge for the top six but there are some promising signs with how Farke has gone about his work.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach has implemented a clear style of play that encourages the Yellows to get the ball down and play but will hope for improvements next season.

It should be another busy summer at Carrow Road and whilst most fans will have accepted that star man James Maddison will be on the move, there could be some exciting additions through the door given the cash that he will generate.

Here we look at three players Norwich need to target...

He may be a Norwich player for the remainder of the season but Gunn is only on loan from Manchester City.

The stopper has enjoyed a fine campaign and really developed as a player during his time at the club and Norwich need to be speaking with the Premier League champions to extend the deal for another year.

It will be difficult and the Premier League may come calling but it's worth a shot.

Replacing Maddison is going to be an extremely tough ask for any player as he has been outstanding this season.

However, Powell is a similar type of player and could do the job. He will cost, particularly as Wigan are sure to be in the Championship as well, but it's worth a go.

He has great technique and is a very clever player and would go some way to filling the big hole left by Maddison.

Norwich also need to add a central midfielder to their ranks and they could do a lot worse than Nolan.

He has attracted a lot of interest thanks to his displays with Shrewsbury. The 25-year old has a lot of energy and scores goals from midfield - he would be a big addition for Farke.
