Middlesbrough picked up their second Championship win of the season by beating Reading 1-0 at the Riverside and many fans of the club appear to be pleased with the result.

Marvin Johnson scored the only goal in a tight game, when his free-kick deceived everyone and nestled in the bottom corner on the hour mark.

Reading were perhaps unlucky to leave the North East with nothing, after a string of magnificent saves from Darren Randolph secured the win for Jonathan Woodgate's side.

The visitors dominated the game in terms of possession, shots, shots on target and corners, but Woodgate's men held their resolve and claimed the three points.

The Boro boss took over at the Riverside in the summer after Tony Pulis was sacked at the end of last season.

The 39-year-old coach has made no secret of the fact he wants to change the playing style at the club and up until this point his side's results have suffered.

The Riverside faithful appear both pleased and relieved with the three points and many of them took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Boro's second win of the season.
