Nottingham Forest have drawn Derby County in the second round of the Carabao Cup and it appears many Reds fans are excited to face their rivals.

Forest beat League One side Fleetwood Town 1-0 at the City Ground in their first-round tie last night.

Sabri Lamouchi set up a side that included a number of new signings and young players, with Tiago Silva scoring his first goal for the club to put the Reds through.

Following last night’s draw, they’re now set to face rivals Derby after they won 1-0 away at League Two side Scunthorpe United.

18-year-old Lee Buchanan scored the winner late into the second half on his debut for the Rams.

The two sides will now meet for what is likely to be a hotly contested East Midlands Derby at the City Ground in the week beginning the 27th of August.

It will be the first taste of the derby for Lamouchi and Phillip Cocu, as both took charge of their respective clubs this summer.

Forest came out on top in the last meeting between the two sides in February, a Championship clash which finished 1-0 thanks to an early goal from Yohan Benalouane.
