‘Buzzing’, ‘Decent’ – Plenty of Sunderland fans react to Parkinson’s team announcement v Portsmouth

Sunderland will be looking to build on some impressive performances under the management of Phil Parkinson when they return to action on Saturday.Β

The Black Cats are currently sat fifth in the League One table, and are yet to be beaten in this year’s league campaign, which will certainly be pleasing to see for the club’s supporters.

They take on Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon, in what is likely to be a tricky test for Parkinson’s side, as Pompey look to put together a positive run of results after a stuttering start to the 2020/21 season.

Phil Parkinson has named his starting XI for the clash against Kenny Jackett’s men, where a win could see the Black Cats move up to second in the table if other results go their way. Jordan Willis replaces Conor McLaughlin in the only change to the starting XI from their last match.

Plenty of the Stadium of Light faithful took to social media to issue their thoughts on Parkinson’s latest team selection for the match against Portsmouth.
