Derby County target Bobby Duncan has dropped a transfer hint on Twitter, which has caused an excited response among fans of the East Midlands club.

The 19-year-old forward is a product of Liverpool's academy system and was prolific for their age-group sides but left to join Fiorentina in search of more senior opportunities last summer.

Those have not come with the Serie A club and it appears Duncan could be set to return to English football with a move to Derby.

The Athletic reported earlier this week that Fiorentina were open to letting the teenager join the Rams on a free transfer as long as a sell-on clause was included in the deal.

The report claims Duncan is set to sign for Derby and has agreed personal terms on a three-year deal.

Yesterday, the 19-year-old took to Twitter to drop a transfer hint – posting images of him working in the gym with the caption "back soon".

Duncan's exit from Liverpool was a little bitter with his agent leveling a number of accusations at the Anfield club.

Can you name these 10 ex-Derby County midfielders?

Despite that, however, it appears Rams fans are excited about his arrival and believe his latest Twitter post is all but a confirmation of the move.
