Nottingham Forest have today confirmed that manager Mark Warburton has been sacked.
This follows yesterday’s loss at home to struggling Sunderland – leaving Nottingham Forest sitting in 14th place in the Championship table.
Despite managing to keep the Reds up last season and then guiding them to just ten points shy of the play-offs, Mark Warburton – alongside assistant manager David Weir and Director of Football Frank McParland – have all been given their marching orders.
Derby County fans took to Twitter after this announcement to share their views on the situation.
The Rams – who are fierce rivals with Forest – currently sit in second place in the Championship and their fans have been directing abuse at their East Midlands rivals, who targeted Gary Rowett for their vacant managerial post before opting for Warburton.
Rowett, now Derby manager, has been a real success at Pride Park and here are a selection of tweets from Derby fans about the Warburton sacking.
But he was better than Rowett????!????!?!?
