Burton Albion are understood to be looking at former striker Calvin Zola, reports The Derby Telegraph.
Burton manager Gary Rowett is to decide whether Zola is the sort of player that will fit into the current squad before any approach is made.
Zola has left Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen after he moved north after leaving the brewers in 2013.
Rowett has been in contact with the 29 year old’s agent about the possible return but has said he won’t be in constant contact over the former striker.
”I’m not making 20 phone calls a day to try and get him in. I’ve got to weigh up the signings we’ve already made and how we want to play next season. It’s never an easy decision. We’ve got a certain type of striker in mind, and we have to decide if Calvin would fit that mould.” added Rowett.
