Burton Albion are one of a number of clubs in the hunt for former Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town defender Jonathan Parr, according to HITC Sport.

Jonathan Parr is currently plying his trade in his native Norway, where he is playing for Stromsgodset.

He has played 31 times for the Norwegian outfit and impressed plenty of suitors in England, including Burton Albion, as well as Greek side AEK Athens.

The attack-minded left back had a five year stint in England with spells at Crystal Palace and Ipswich between 2011 and 2016.

Parr played over 100 games for Palace and won their 2012 Player of the Year before spending three years at Ipswich Town.

The experienced 28-year-old also has 9 senior caps for Norway.

HITC Sport understands that Jonathan Parr would be very interested in a return to England so a move to Burton Albion might be on the cards.

Nigel Clough has already added Luke Varney, Marvin Sordell and Luke Murphy this January.
