Burton Albion midfielder John Mousinho is relishing tonight’s game against third-place Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.
The game sees Burton Albion manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink take charge of his first managerial game in England.
Mousinho is likely to be back in the squad for the game tonight and has timed it right as the Brewers next three games are all against promotion rivals.
Talking to the Burton Mail, Mousinho said ”It’s a huge game tonight. Our form recently hasn’t been up to scratch and we’ve stayed in the position we are because of our form at the start of the season.”
”Looking at the table now, it’s so very tight at the top and we’re only three points off Wycombe and have a chance to play them, Luton and Shrewsbury in the next three weeks, and that’s brilliant for us.” added Mousinho.
Mousinho believes the new manager will relish the tough start he has as this will undoubtedly prove what he has to offer to English game.
”A few people have been coming to me and saying isn’t it a tough start for the new manager – but I think he’ll be relishing it. I think the boys are definitely relishing it because that’s what you’re here to do – play against the big boys. We’ve got a chance now to nick points off them at the top and get ourselves back into the position we want to be in.” said Mousinho.
Wycombe Wanderers v Burton Albion is on Sky Sports, kick off at 7.45pm.
