Crawley Town’s Izale McCleod has been linked with a move to Sky Bet League Two Champions Burton Albion, according to the Burton Mail.
The 30-year-old striker has scored 19 goals for the Red Devils this season, but couldn’t avoid his side from succumbing to relegation.
Millwall have also been linked with the forward, but the former Derby man is likely to join up with the Brewers.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink hasn’t had a proven goalscorer in his squad this season, and he seemingly believes that McLeod could be the perfect fit.
McLeod came through the Derby County ranks at 17, making his debut in 2002/03. He joined MK Dons on loan in 2004, where he scored 54 goals in 116 appearances.
From there, Charlton Athletic offered £1.1 million for the pacy forward.
McCleod struggled with Charlton, and spent loan spells at Millwall and Peterborough before his release from the Valley.
Barnet in League Two and Portsmouth in League One followed on loan, before returning to MK Dons.
After a brief loan spell with Northampton, the striker joined Crawley on a two-year deal, but the Burton Mail believes that the forward is reluctant to play League Two football.
